Grainne is a highly respected and experienced therapist and teacher working in the field of holistic health since 2003 and a practitioneer of meditation since 1997.
She facitilates somatic mindfulness meditation and movement programs locally in Waterford. She is a tutor for Karuna Dartmoor, Devon UK where she teaches on the 2 year Kum Nye teacher training and holds Kum Nye retreats there. These are held residentially and in recent years have also transitioned on line.
She is a tutor for Body College where she teaches on the 2 year Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy Practitioneer Training. These trainings take place in Ireland and in the UK. She is currently tutoring on the London training.
She is also a tutor on Biodynamic Craniosacral Post Graduate trainings for Elmfield Institute, Co. Down, Northern Ireland.
She has spent over 17 years working in the Solas Cancer Support Centre and 9 years in the Waterford Health Park Medical Centre and as such, is highly regarded within the medical community and the general public alike.
Grainne is particularly interest in the field of trauma recovery, supporting people through, and recovery from, major life events and traumas. Biodynamic Cranio Sacral therapy, somatic meditation and movement therapy are ways in which she works with this, providing her clients with years of skill and experience in this field to support and empower them in their recovery process.
She has a deep love of nature. Having grown up in the country, nature and animals have been a natural resource for her throughout her life. She enjoys walking with her dogs, swims year round in the ocean and is forever grateful to be blessed enough to live in the magnificant beauty of Waterford with its diversity of beaches, woodland, lakes and mountains.
